I incorporated multiple forms of review into m classes in preparation for finals. For my Earth Science class we were able to be a little more relaxed with our games and had more of a "go with the flow" feel. Whereas with my Biology course we were crammed for time and needed to complete our review packet so we didn't get to do much of the fun review games. In Earth Science my kids loved Hot Seat. If you don't know what that is, you take a chair to the front of the room and place the chair so that the chair is facing away from the white board. Then have a student come sit in the chair facing away from the white board. Behind them write a vocabulary term and then the class gives that person definitions and examples to help them try and guess the word. My classes loved this simple game and they really loved testing me and my knowledge when I would volunteer to sit in The Hot Seat! Additionally we played other games such as rubber chicken and jeopardy but Hot Seat was the game they most enjoyed!
